MEET THE STAFF
Karen Tullett
Head of Operations
Kind and enthusiastic, Karen holds post-graduate qualifications in both Psychology and Theology and has a variety of previous experience including school’s worker, support practitioner, victim support, church leadership, and Playwork. She is also a doting auntie and godmother, as well as an avid parkrunner, and CrossFitter! Passionate about emotional resilience, health, and wellbeing she believes in the healing freedom that comes from knowing Jesus and being known by him. Karen plays Centre in her netball team, loves to travel, loves her family, and is always eager to learn something new.
Al Weller
Head of Operations
Al is married to Kate and has a son in secondary school. He has a big love for gathering people together around food and is known as the BBQ king! We all looked forward to his various “smoked products” at Christmas. He has a huge heart for those who need the most help which drew him to join the Edge team. Al is season ticket holder for Chesterfield FC (Spirites) you’ll find him in the stands on Saturdays with a mug of Bovril cheering them on loudly!
Rachel Bell
Centres Supervisor
Rachel deals with the logistics of our local Edge Centre’s, she is a trained counsellor, and has over 20 years’ experience serving local community within a church context. Due to her kind and caring nature, Rachel’s home can often be found filled to the brim with people of all ages who she loves to look after and care for. A self confessed introvert, Rachel loves to worship and spend time relaxing. Rachel & her husband James live in Loundsley Green and have four grown up children, and twin grandchildren!
Laura Hewitt
Bookkeeping and Administration
Laura does our bookkeeping, looks after general administration, and organises logistics for food pantry- she also brings joy and fun into the office HQ! She is part of the Edge Faith Community and volunteers within several projects. Laura has lived in Chesterfield all her life and stays up the road in Hollingwood with her husband and three children. Laura loves the Lord, is super compassionate, and enjoys being able to use her gifts to serve and help others.
Mark Shear
Facilities and Maintenance
Our resident handyman, Mark fixes practical issues across our local centres, as well as studying part time with WTC for a degree in Kingdom Theology. Mark has previous experience in addiction & recovery support, the prison service, and carpentry & joinery. Mark enjoys building stuff, fixing his car, collecting theology books and guitars, everything remote control car related, and helping people walk through addiction into lives of purpose and hope.
Carole Berry
Advice & Support
Carole brings decades of experience to our team of frontline advise work, from housing, benefits, and budgeting advise to form filling and understanding bills. Carole is on hand in person across our centres to listen and give bespoke and confidential advice.
